Colworth Science Park has a dedicated Charity Committee. It is comprised of voluntary members from companies throughout the site. These are some of the local causes we have recently supported:
- Donation to the Sharnbrook Scout Group Committee in order to fund the extension of their existing facilities.
- Road Runner Community minibus. The minibus provides a regular timetabled service for the elderly throughout a number of areas of North Bedfordshire which have inadequate, or no, other service. The Colworth Science Park Charities Committee made a financial donation towards a brand new bus.
- South Africa Project- Sharnbrook Upper School and Community College. The School needed funding for their students annual trip to Africa to work with Habitat for Humanity in the building of outer shells of two houses for local African families in need.
- John Gibbard Lower School - Sharnbrook in raising funds to build a Trim Trail for the pupils.
- Sharnbrook Sports Pavilion situated on Lodge Road, Sharnbrook. Extension and refurbishment of the pavilion is due for completion on 25th January 2008.
- Sharnbrook Football Club under 7's new football kit.
- Raunds Infant Lower School decoration. The School was opened in 1914 and materials were required for some much needed re-decoration.
- Sharnbrook Christmas tree. This is situated on the High Street and is the focus of the Sharnbrook Christmas Fayre each year.
In addition to our charity activities Unilever, Goodman’s joint venture partner, offer the following to the local community.
