BaxterStorey provides recipe for success at Colworth Science Park

10 January 2011

Colworth Science Park has awarded independent catering company BaxterStorey the contract to provide full catering services across the Science Park. This exciting new appointment comes as the Park’s latest development, The Exchange, progresses further towards completion.

Due for completion in early 2011, The Exchange will feature modern laboratory and office suites, a café-restaurant and state-of-the-art conferencing facilities, all available for use by businesses both on and off the campus. The Exchange is named so in order to reflect the innovative ethos that will help drive the exchange of knowledge and ideas within it.

As The Exchange prepares to open, the decision was made that the best catering provider to take forward to the new facility is BaxterStorey. The independently owned company prides itself on having a fresh food focus, creating delicious meals from seasonal ingredients and training and developing its own chefs. They will be responsible for the catering on the Science Park from November 2010.

Dr Sally Ann Forsyth, Director of Colworth Science Park commented “As a new innovation and facilities centre, The Exchange offers fantastic advantages in furthering the scientific excellence of Colworth Science Park.  The Exchange will be an asset, not just for businesses on the Science Park and around Colworth but for businesses throughout Bedfordshire and beyond. We want to ensure we have the best team to deliver the high standards that our occupiers at Colworth have come to expect. We are confident BaxterStorey will provide an outstanding service and we look forward to welcoming them to the Park.”

BaxterStorey said: “We are delighted to have been appointed as the new caterers at Colworth Science Park and we will be implementing a range of new menus and service offers, as well as listening to customer feedback to understand their requirements.”
