Colworth Science Park goes RED to support National Heart Month

5 March 2010

Employees at leading property group Goodman, based at Colworth Science Park, in Bedfordshire, turned red for the day in February to save lives by supporting the British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) Wear Red to Work day.

As part of National Heart Month, Goodman invited its employees and other occupiers based at Colworth Science Park to raise money by wearing red to work for the day. Goodman parks across the country raised over £1000 to help fight the UK’s biggest killer - heart and circulatory disease.

Jim Johnston, CEO for UK Business and Science Parks at Goodman, said: “We decided to support the Wear Red to Work campaign because we wanted to do something fun for a good cause that would involve the whole Park community at Colworth. This initiative allowed us to do this by joining forces with our occupiers to raise money for the British Heart Foundation’s vital work.”

Jackie Skeel, Head of National Campaigns at the British Heart Foundation, said: “Thanks to Goodman going Red for Heart the money raised will help save lives and fight the UK’s biggest killer.”
