ideaSpace Enterprise Accelerator Funding programme 2011 calls for proposals
9 May 2011
ideaSpace Enterprise Accelerator (iEA), based at the University of Cambridge, has been established to create and inspire a range of activities that enhance the early stage venture support ecosystem.
Each year, iEA seeks partners with whom to develop a portfolio of projects that build upon the existing activities by establishing effective and creative support for ventures with high growth potential in the East of England.
This year, a £160,000 grant fund will be allocated to projects that will accelerate the development of early-stage, innovation-based ventures into their next phase of growth.
A maximum of £40,000 will be made available to each partner for the delivery of a project that:
• Accelerates the development and growth of early stage ventures through practical and effective means which help them build internal capability. An ideal outcome would include increasing revenue, headcount and/or sustainability
• Has the potential to scale up in future years, either directly or by the activity being replicated or implemented by others
• Has a realistic and identified route to become self-sustaining
If you have any doubt as to whether your proposed project meets the above criteria, but believe it could nevertheless help to make a substantial contribution to innovation and enterprise in the East of England, we would also like to hear from you.
Entry requirements:
We invite initial two-page proposals to be emailed to proposals@ideaspace.cam.ac.uk by midnight on 26th May 2011.
iEA will announce a shortlist of projects for further development on 8 June. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to meet the iEA Directors on 10 June in Cambridge to discuss the next phase of the process.
Shortlisted projects will be invited to submit full proposals for consideration by 11 July with final award announcements being made by 27 July.
