The Exchange at Colworth Science Park sets the benchmark for contemporary office and laboratory space. Offering open innovation, networking and collaboration within a supportive environment and a campus culture, The Exchange is now officially open for business.
The Exchange will be hosting a number of open days to showcase the facilities and to which local and national businesses are warmly welcome. Please go to Colworth Science Park’s website for more information http://www.colworthpark.com/
The Exchange is the latest development to enhance the unique facilities at Colworth Science Park, which is a joint venture between Unilever and global property group Goodman. Set in 120 acres of natural parkland in Bedfordshire, Colworth Science Park has become a leading enterprise hub, catering for all types of businesses and bringing the latest conferencing facilities to the East of England.
Many high-tech features make The Exchange a desirable location for business. An Innovation Centre provides fully serviced laboratory space and office suites with the ability to accommodate occupiers on flexible leasing terms. A range of fit-out options are available, from fully fitted wet and dry labs to office and write-up space. Bespoke solutions allow for both large and small individual requirements to be catered for.
The Exchange also offers the utmost flexibility in conference venues and can be tailored to meet the needs of a lecture for 200 people or a business meeting for two. Rooms can be configured in different layouts to meet individual requirements, with syndicate and breakout rooms available supported by the latest in audio-visual technology.
Dr Sally Ann Forsyth, Director of Science Parks for Goodman said “The Exchange offers a unique range of services which address a shortage of flexible office and scientific lab space in the UK. Our aim is for the new facilities to be used by occupiers at The Exchange and by businesses throughout Bedfordshire and the UK. The open innovation culture at Colworth plays an important role in connecting people. The Exchange provides a professional environment to make these connections happen and helps to create strong business relationships.”
Colworth Science Park sits within a mature landscaped setting that boasts a wealth of facilities on site including tennis and squash courts, football and cricket pitches, a 9-hole golf course, a convenience shop and a day nursery.
BaxterStorey, an independent catering company, provides The Park with a variety of fresh and healthy menus that can be tailored for breakfast meetings, a working lunch, or training or conference sessions.
Office and lab space in The Exchange comes with a whole host of services included in the leases such as reception, security, cleaning, waste disposal (including clinical) as well as the use of shared lab services, including autoclave and glass washing equipment and shared kitchenette facilities- all at no extra cost.
